This semester was very interesting from how we had our class setted up and how assignments were given. The different writing styles were very interesting for example, taking apart the different aspects of a Lab report and Technical description. To work with our peers both in and outside of the classroom was very helpful for assignments and for having someone to talk to during these tough times, and because of these things from class they helped we become a better writer in other writing formats that I didn’t know about before. 

The different types of writing styles that I saw from my peers were very interesting because some of them made me be more aware about keeping them professional by keeping a neutral tone in my papers. Other papers that I saw helped me with formatting in the technical description, of how to write the table contents  cause I would keep playing around with the formatting and never be satisfied with it. The happened many times with formatting APA format cause there were different preferences on how Page number, tile page, and what to site/how. We did get some constructive help from our professor, which did help because we had a first and second draft to figure out how to write your paper to a professional format. Having this chance gave me a better understanding since I would talk to my peers about how to fix out errors. With this there was a lot of reading and it was worth it to understand more about the profession with what we wish to pursue, definitely was a lot of reading but it helped me to read faster and for a longer amount of time. Annotating the two lab reports were great with reading practice since we all looked through several lab reports. The lab report portion of the class Writing for engineers definitely helps with my writing and reading, but also helps in formatting and citing. Trying to find credible sources that fit the format needed for an assignment was slightly hard because many didn’t follow lab report guidelines. Playing around with the search engine helped with understanding how to look for things I need and to not focus on unimportant information.  Another project that helped me as a student was the proposal since we got in depth of what we all wanted in the writing portion of the essay. The formatting of how we explained the Student desk was put well cause we followed guides from prior papers, same goes for the technical description part of the Student desk. Applying what we learned with a group help me understand how to write a better essay and technical description of how to appeal toward the reader and making sure I explain everything. Another thing lI earned in our desk project is how to transition from different sections of a paper. This project helps with having friends during these hard times and with improving my writing.
